Teaching the Parts of Speech

Students love to explore words and their meaning, but might not always be able to put them together in the correct way. That's why the parts of speech are so important-- without the use of the parts of speech stories would be bland and uninteresting.

Help students understand the parts of speech by using vivid visuals and giving them plenty of examples. Consider using the School House Rock series to help them better understand things such as conjunctions.... do you remember the fun "Conjunction Junction"  song?
